The day after a Ketamine infusion session a patient can feel tired and forgetful. But for them those side effects do not outweigh the drugs benefits. Other side effects that can be experienced are Nausea, Vomiting, insomnia and double vision.

I am not sure about using this to wean someone off of alcohol. Opiates are possible.

In a controlled setting, especially with slow infusions (40-240min), there is no risk of dependence.

Self-referral is ok because we do medical assessments prior to infusions. However, your doctor can also refer you.
