Experts Specializing in Therapeutic Ketamine Applications

While it has been approved by the FDA for medical application since 1964, ketamine is only now gaining mainstream medical attention for its proven effectiveness in treating a host of conditions. Canyon Pain and Wellness is an accredited specialist providing therapeutic ketamine treatments for several ailments.

Our team of fellowship-trained pain specialists will consult with you to learn about your condition and any past treatments you've tried. We offer several different treatment options to provide you with precise care.

Our nurse will place the IV in a position on your arm that is most comfortable to you while maximizing the chance of first-time success. While every attempt is made to place the IV in the first attempt, sometimes a second attempt is needed.

We try to use the smallest needle size possible for your IV. Needle size is typically 22G but can also be 20G or 24G. As we administer the ketamine IV, you will feel a tiny pinch, but minimal discomfort.

The entire process takes about 90 minutes. The infusion is around 40 minutes, and you will generally recover for up to 30 minutes afterward. Driving is off-limits the day of your infusion, so you must have an escort to accompany you home after the injection.

You will receive a dissociative anesthetic that can induce unconsciousness, so you may not drive after receiving your infusion. Although you may feel normal, some drugs will remain in your system for up to 24 hours after the infusion. For your safety, we ask that you refrain from driving or operating any heavy machinery for 24 hours.

Canyon Pain and Wellness is a local, family, and minority-owned infusion clinic with over 20 years of experience providing ketamine treatments to help patients with everything from chronic migraines to post-traumatic stress disorder and neuropathy.
